As we have seen in the last couple of days, the Tungabhadra and Handri, rose menacingly to a level not seen in 100 years after they received unprecedented quantities of inflow bringing both Kurnool and the pilgrim centre of Mantralayam with neck-deep water, besides inundating some 100 villages in Kurnool and Mahabubnagar districts which include weavers families in Gadwal and Rajolu towns. Several deaths have been reported so far and thousands of hapless residents remain unsheltered.
As we feel that it is our responsibility to help in the process of helping and rehabilitation for the victims, Hyderabad Nagara Padmashali Sangam & POPA(Padmashali Officials and Professionals Association) launched the efforts of collecting food / clothes / Financial assistance for helping the victims.
